Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Certificate

FSSAI is an autonomous body that monitors and governs the food business in India established under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the provisions of the Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006. Every Food Business Operator (FBO) involved in the manufacturing, processing, storage distribution, and sale of food products must compulsorily obtain FSSAI Registration or License. Its registration means the food is safe for consumption and meant the food is chemically verified.

FSSAI is a 14 digit registration or license number that is printed on all the food packages. The 14 digit registration number gives details about the assembling state, producer’s permit. This registration procedure is aimed to create more accountability on the FBO to maintain the quality of the food products. The licensing and registration procedure and requirements are regulated by Food Safety & Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Regulations, 2011.

FSSAI License makes your company reliable. After obtaining a food license, you can make an official announcement of the same. Other than reliability and assurance that your food is safe to consume, a food license assures the customer that your food is of high standards. At the time of food verification, quality verification is also conducted.
