The Spices Board Registration is mandatory for all the manufacturers or merchant exporters who want to export spices in the world from India. The Spices Board (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India) is an organization that works to develop and promote Indian Spices globally. The Board serves as a link between the Indian exporter of spices and the importers abroad.
The lists of 52 spices required for this registration are Cardamom, Pepper, Chili, Ginger, Turmeric, Coriander, Cumin, Fennel, Fenugreek, Celery, Aniseed, Bishops weed, Caraway, Dill, Cinnamon, Cassia, Garlic, Curry leaf, Kokam, Mint, Mustard, Parsley, Pomegranate seed, Saffron, Vanilla, Tejpata, Pepper long, Star Anise, Sweet flag, Greater Galanga, Horse-radish, Caper, Clove, Asafoetida, Cambodge, Hyssop, Juniper berry, Bay leaf, Lovage, Marjoram, Nutmeg, Mace, Basil, Poppy Seed, All-Spice, Rosemary, Sage, Savory, Thyme, Oregano, Tarragon and Tamarind in any form including curry powders, spice oil, oleoresins and other mixtures where spice content is predominant.
The board is responsible for granting certificates to the person or entity who wishes to involve in or start a work that includes spices. Also, the Board issues the Certificate of Registration as Exporter of Spices (CRES) under section 11 of the Spice Board Act, 1986.
APPLICABILITY AND VALIDITY
Spices board registration is mandatory for manufacture exporters and merchant exporters. The validity of the certificate of Registration will be for three (3) years from the date of registration.
FEES STRUCTURE – FRESH REGISTRATION
For Manufacture Exporter – Rs. 15,000 + (18%) GST = Rs. 17,700
For Merchant Exporter – Rs. 10,000 + (18%) GST = Rs. 11,800
FEES STRUCTURE – RENEWAL
For Manufacture Exporter – Rs. 10,000 + (18%) GST = Rs. 11,800
For Merchant Exporter – Rs. 7,500 + (18%) GST = Rs. 8,850
FEES STRUCTURE – UPDATION
For Manufacture Exporter – Rs. 5,000 + (18%) GST = Rs. 5,900
For Merchant Exporter – Rs. 5,000 + (18%) GST = Rs. 5,900
